MJ and I headed out mid-morning for her post operative appointment in Folsom. A magnificent blue heron was wading in the pond in front of the house as we drove out. Quite a sight.
On the driveway out to Buena Vista Road I saw two kildeer take flight, with the white breast and white chevrons on their inside wings. MJ talked about kildeer laying their eggs on gravel. The new chicks look like fur balls on stilts. We are also looking for the bird guide that noted the birds MJ has seen in this area.
