March 5, 2018

I was on the road to Oakland before 8.00 in the morning.  The snowflake in my car came on at 39 degrees, and a uniform level of frost covered the ground.  I watered the gooseberry and correopsis before I left.  Water should help the new plants weather the cold temperatures.

My route back was through the Delta by Twin Cities Road.  There was a brief bit of blossom trail beside the levee road.  I was charmed to see a white egret in one of the still dormant fields.
