MJ received notification from PG&E of the first smart day of the year. Temperatures should reach the high 90s by late afternoon.
MJ and I recovered a plastic dog house from the goat pen, to shelter the newly liberated crape myrtle the two weeks we are away. She was concerned that the crape myrtle has been suddenly exposed to intense sun after being sheltered by the overgrowth all winter and spring. We set the dog house up on pavers for ventilation, and I will deep water it before I leave.
