We took the truck to Judy’s to pick up container plants from her porch. Mike Stansberry was already there picking up a dining table and chairs. He expressed an interest in nursing a few plants along.
We ended up clearing the deck of all but the Japanese maples and filling the truck. Two large camellias, roses, ivies and geraniums. For good measure we took all of the interior plants as well. MJ’s goal was to fill the truck bed so that the plants would not shift during transport. She succeeded.
We dropped off half the plants with Mike. The other half is in the main parlor so that Betty can water them while we are in Europe. Later this summer I will deploy the larger pots around the garden. Judy has two thriving cacti that I hope to keep in good health.
