Martha’s back has kept her in bed. Judy and I collaborated on the Cream of Wheat and carried breakfast into the bedroom.
I spent a little time clearing more thistle. The face mask helped with the irritating particles and dust. I cleared to the far edge of the porch slab, raked out the debris and hauled away. I then applied a full gallon of Round Up, not bothering to remove the face mask. I also dumped grass clippings on the warning track, to act as a kind of mulch. I also managed to find more filler stone for the herb garden.
To my surprise and joy, the gooseberry has already sprouted new growth. The days continue sunny and mild, and Lady Gooseberry seems to respond abundantly.
