I finished two days of video teleconferences, with a touch of nostalgia at completing six years of work with the California State Bar.
I spent a quiet two hours in the late afternoon clearing the overgrown grass around the ice plant bordering the retaining wall, trying not to disturb the plants that seem to taking root. Afterwards, Preen to the entire area and watering. For additional meditative time, I dug out one of the in-ground lawn sprinklers and set a plastic ring around it. Late afternoon is a great time to be in the backyard, as I complete the vision of a lawn with a border garden that drops away into the rolling hills and valley oaks.
Tonight is clear with no moon. A pleasure to see stars in the celestial sphere so sharply brilliant.
