The string of triple digit temperatures will continue for one more day. I was out early dead heading geraniums. They are so giving with a minimal amount of routine care.
The wallflower in the Large Box Garden seems to have expired overnight. I have seen dead leaves around the base for the past few weeks, but I missed a day or two and the entire plant was gone. The plant gave no resistance to digging it out because it had no root system, even though the area had plenty of water.
I enjoy weeding around the maida elegans, taking in not just the yellow daisy flowers but the promised pineapple scent as well.
